Sonrise Baptist Church hosting holiday events

Sonrise Baptist Church, located at 3550 South 4400 West in West Valley City, is hosting “A King is Coming to Town” Children’s Christmas Play, Saturday, Dec. 17 and Sunday, Dec. 18 at 6:30 p.m.

Come along to the little town of Rumor Mill, USA, where this morning the whole town seems to have gathered in the town square. What sparked all the excitement? A sign, posted anonymously, declaring “A King Is Coming to Town!” Just who this King is, no one seems to know. Is it King Tut, King Kong or the King of Rock and Roll? Drew and Ellie have the answer, as they want to tell the real story of Christmas.

Join Sonrise Dec. 18 and/or 19 at 6:30 p.m. to watch as the kids of Sonrise show us the Christmas story. Child care is provided.

Also, come to Sonrise’s Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, Saturday, Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. The public is invited to gather with Sonrise to share in congregational singing and worship through the hearing of God’s word.  The service includes a traditional candle lighting ceremony. Child care is available.
