Dec. 15, 16 and 17, all day, December Take-Home Craft. Come and get a fun holiday craft for the month.

Friday, Dec. 16, 11 a.m. to noon, Santa’s Toy Bag Puppet Show. Ages 3-9. Santa's toy bag has a hole in it, and all his friends at the North Pole try to patch it for him. The elves use a red patch, but the bag fills with valentines. The reindeer use a green one, but the bag fills with shamrocks. Only Mrs. Claus knows what to do to fix Santa's favorite bag.

Monday, Dec. 19, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., Christmas Conjurer Magic Show. For families. What happened to The Grinch, and did you ever wonder what those reindeer games were that Rudolph wasn't allowed to play? Find the answers in this amazing Holiday magic presentation. FREE magic tricks for all children!

Tuesday, Dec. 20, 7 to 8 p.m., Great Reads for Girls: A Mother/Daughter Book Club. Ages 8-12 with caring adult. Join us for lively discussion, activities and lots of fun. This month's book is “Igraine the Brave” by Cornelia Caroline Funke.

Wednesday, Dec. 28, 4 to 5 p.m., Hunter Anime Club. Japanese calligraphy! Discover the ancient art of Japanese calligraphy from a master, Masami Hayashi, using authentic brushes and ink.

Wednesday, Jan. 4, 7 to 8:30 p.m., Family Yoga. For families. Looking for a fun family activity that everyone can enjoy? Come stretch and laugh with your kids! Yoga is a fun way to spend time with your kids doing something you both will enjoy. All shapes, sizes and abilities are welcome.

Thursday, Jan. 5, 7 to 8:30 p.m., What do I do with THIS? (Nooks, Kindles, iWhatevers and Mysterious Gadgets). Congratulations! You got a great new digital toy for Christmas! Now, how do you use it?
Bring your new toy all charged up and ready to roll to explore how it all works. You will need to have an email address before you attend this workshop. Please leave the kids at home unless they are using one of the new toys/tools.

Monday, Dec. 19, 3:15 to 4:15 p.m., Boss the Reading Dog! Woof! Woof! Kids can improve their literacy and social skills by reading to a furry friend! Those in grades K-3 (ages 5-9) may sign up for a session to read with BOSS, a certified therapy dog. He’s a pit bull that loves to be read to! Visit the reference desk starting at 3:15 p.m. to pick up a free ticket for a 15-minute reading slot. Tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.

Friday, Dec. 23, all day, Holiday Movie Marathon. Join us all day for a marathon of various Holiday movies! (Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult.) Movies may be rated PG or PG-13. Children must have parental consent to attend if under age.
