Hillcrest presenting Celtic Holiday

Join the Hillcrest High band and the Scariff School of Irish Dance for a Celtic Holiday Celebration on Thursday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m.

The band will join with world-renowned Irish dancers Alan Scariff and Kieran Hardiman in a unique and entertaining holiday performance. The band will play several traditional holiday carols, while the dancers will also perform several traditional Irish dances. Then the band will join with the dancers to perform a unique combination of music and dance.

"We've never done anything like this before," said Hillcrest band director Kristi Pehrson. "The students are ecstatic."

The cost of the concert is $8 in advance and tickets are available at Hillcrest High School's front office, 7350 South 900 East, Midvale. The tickets may be purchased the night of the performance for $10, but those who present this article will get $2 off. The performance will be slightly less than two hours with one intermission. All proceeds from the concert benefit the Hillcrest High band and the Scariff School of Irish Dance.
