Marvelous Monday Storytime. Join Miss Susan for music, stories, rhymes and fun.


Mondays, 2 p.m.

Marvelous Monday Afternoon Storytime. Join Miss Susan for songs and stories, activities, a craft and fun as we add a second storytime on Monday. If you missed the morning storytime, now you can catch the fun in the afternoon.


Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. Ages 24 months and under

Baby Bookworm. Join us for nursery rhymes, finger plays and fun with books! These storytimes are created especially for babies up to 24 months.


Thursdays, 11:15 a.m. Ages 18 months to 4 years

Toddler Time. Join Miss Melinda for her favorite picture books, songs, fingerplays and more! No registration necessary.


Feb. 20, 7 p.m.  Adults

Top 10 Tips for Going Digital/Paperless. Join us as we continue our series of programs on getting organized. This month we will learn some helpful tips for going digital and paperless.


Feb. 21, March 21, 7 p.m. Girls ages 8 to 12 with an adult

Great Reads for Girls: A Mother/Daughter Book Club. Join us for lively discussion, games, crafts and treats. No registration required. Pick up your “Great Reads” booklist at the reference desk for the complete reading schedule.


Feb. 23, 10:30 a.m.   Families

Lego Fun at the Library. Play with Legos in the children's area. We will provide the Legos, you and your kids supply the fun.


Feb. 27, 4 p.m.  Ages 10 to 18

Hunter Anime Club. Teens and tweens, come and make a fun scarf. Do a regular one, or make a fun animal style. Please let us know at the information desk so we can plan for supplies.

Geocache in the Library. Can you find the hidden items by following our clues? Complete the adventure in the library and earn your geocache reward!

Shredded Book Jar. Can you guess what book is in the jar. Put your guess in and find out the winners at the end of the month.

Teen Tech Month. Check out all the great things for teens this month. The theme for 2013 is "Check In at Your Library."


March 6, 6:30 p.m.   Families

Family Yoga Fun. Looking for a fun family activity that everyone can enjoy? Come stretch and laugh with your kids! Yoga is a fun way to spend time with your kids doing something you both will enjoy. All shapes, sizes and abilities are welcome.


March 7, 7 p.m.   Adults

Square Foot Gardening. Make gardening fun again. This 1.5 hour class will get you started with the 10 basics of square foot gardening so that you can grow a bounteous crop of delicious, fresh, totally organic produce.


March 8, 3:30 p.m.   Ages 6 to 11

Global Games Friday Fun. Have you ever played “Escargot” or “Maklot?” If you haven’t, you don’t know how much fun kids in other countries have! Have a great time playing games from around the world.


March 11, 7 p.m. Ages 10 and up

Make Your Own Bath Salts. Make colorful, scented bath salts and a decorated container to put them in. Ideal for Mother's Day gifts or any other gift-giving occasion.


March 13, 4 p.m. Boys ages 7 to 11

No Girls Allowed. Enjoy a fun hour of games, crafts and information designed just for guys. This month’s theme: “Journey to the Underland.”


March 16,  2 to 5 p.m.  All ages

Yu-gi-oh Tournament. Come and play, or learn to play. Trade cards from 5 to 5:30 p.m.


March 20, 4 p.m. Teens

Spy Hop Program. Come and learn how to make music, film or tell your story with animation! Play with an iPad and see what you can do.

Spanish Internet Instruction. Spanish speakers will have the opportunity to learn about the internet, set up email addresses and discuss other social media.

Use Your Luck to Choose the Right Shredded Book. Use your luck to solve the riddle and choose the book that has been shredded. See Information Desk for details.


March 11, 3:30 p.m.  Elementary ages

Boss the Reading Dog. Come read to Boss! He loves to hear your favorite stories. Boss is a Certified Reading dog and he visits West Valley Library the second Monday of every month. He looks forward to hearing from you.

No Girls Allowed. Registration required.


March 15, 3 p.m. Ages 10 to 18

Books into Movies Book Club. For this meeting we will be discussing and watching "Flipped" by Wendelin Van Draanen.
